Radio interference from engine

Hi all, as the topic describes I've got no problem (with a stubby) receiving any stations with the engine off, but as soon as the engine is on I'm getting interference across almost all stations.

Could this be a bad earth somewhere? It doesn't matter whether the car is idling or on the move - the interference is still just as bad. Should I look for an earth strap under the bonnet? .... or perhaps wherever the booster is earthed? I'm not sure where either are located.

Could be bad earth, bad alternator rectifier or a breakdown of the insulation on the coil pack at your spark plugs.
