Radio Controlled Clocks

Are radio controlled clocks supposed to be accurate? I have a mains powered bedside one which annoyingly runs 3 minutes fast compared to my iPhone and HTC and also News 24 lol. If I reset the clock with what I think is the correct time it will put the 3 minutes back on. So which is correct?

Didn't the original Vauxhall Vectra do a similar thing, as pointed out by Clarkson once?
 
Slightly off topic, but will make you laugh....

I have a radio controlled casio wristwatch that I don't wear, just keep by the bed cos its got a light on it. Anyway, recently its been playing up, so I took it in for a new battery.

Only to be told it was solar powered, and the flashing "C" means charge!

I felt like a real dick!

I've just chucked my old one out.

It kept thinking that it was 6am at 2am and setting off the alarm.

Twice last week I was padding around the bedroom at 2am for 10 minutes before realising :thumbsdown:

Now relying on phones to get me moving......Oh and strong coffee :thumbsup:
 
Our bedside alarm went off this morning at 6.30 cos I hadn't adjusted it...it thought it was 7.30 (I like to squeeze as much sleep in as possible!). Luckily my wife realised so we didn't get up, and it was nice to actually think I've got an extra hour in bed (on a Sunday I sleep late anyway, so don't benefit!).

Apparently Radio 2 messed up on Sunday morning at switch over and played two programmes at the same time!
