Radiator fan doesn't work intermittently

I have sort of a wierd problem with my z. The fan doesn't work intermittently and I have to cycle the ignition for it to start working but it doesn't always start working every time you cycle it. Sometimes it takes a while for it to work. The fan doesn't work at all and it starts to overheat and it doesn't even come on with the AC. I have ruled out the thermostat because the radiator and all the hoses get real hot. I also ruled out the teml sensor on the hose because the fan doesn't come on with the AC and I'm pretty sure it read right. The temp sensor in the head also reads correctly. A while back I had checked the signal to the fan with an oscilloscope and there was no signal when the fan was supposed tk be working. I also installed a used fan from a junkyard and still nothing. I'm pretty sure it's the DME but I want to check everything else first cause I really don't want yo go through the hassle of swapping it. Im not sure what else it could be. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi. On the plug into the fan there is a very thin green wire. These are well known for corroding and causing connection problems. Check that out before you get into deeper stuff.

Sorry for the late reply as I was busy. The green wire looks fine to me and I don't think it would be that as the fan sometimes restarts when I cycle the ignition which, to me atleast, seems unrelated to the wire. I also checked the connector on the dme side and it looked good. Do you know what else I can check?
