R.O Detailing - 2003 BMW Z4 E85 3.0

So the weekend saw me welcome a new customer and forum member! his 2003 BMW Z4 3.0 E85, this was a great example of an amazing car and with very few miles on the clock. The cars paintwork was in excellent condition; however there were a few areas that the customer wanted looking at.

At some point an egg had been thrown at the driver’s door and there was also evidence of a cat spending some time of the boot.

The car was firstly treated to a pre wash and left to dwell for 5 minutes, whilst that was working the wheels were treated with Valet Pro Dragons Breath. Various brushes and cloths were used to clean the alloys.

The car was then was washed using the 2 bucket method cleaning a panel at a time and the roof was also treated to a hoover and several scrubs with some AutoGlym Hood treatment. Once the car had been completely cleaned it was then clayed, apparently the vehicle had some protection applied when almost new and this was evident from the lack of contaminants that had been picked up by the clay bar.

Once the car was washed, clayed and dried the polishing stage was started. I used various 3M pads and polishes and although the car was in excellent condition the gloss and shine was improved by removing swirls. The egg damage was also 95% fixed as was the mark on the boot from the cat.
Tyres where treated with tyre gel and all plastic trims, grills were treated.

a full correction would be around the £250 mark depending on what is exactly required.

 Spot on Rob, you did a great job.

I've just gone out to see it in the sun for the first time, and the shine and effect is even better! Nice one!
