First time use today to replace the ABS sensor, very impressed with how easy it was to use.

Two parts, has wheels and is a one man job. 30 seconds each side to align to the Jack points with a block. Can go another 12 cm higher

They’re great IMO too. Probably overkill, but to really relax working under the car, I usually place a couple of jack stands under the wishbones and diff, still.

I’d love something like this. Not that I do anything like the amount I used to on cars these days, but perhaps having one would change that…

No, wait. Stupid man-brain. Of course it won’t, but it does look like a nice toy

I went for the 7000 as otherwise I could not get the X5 on it due to the weight. For light(er) cars, the 5000 is absolutely fine.

You do get more height with a 7000 as well though.

Retail in the UK is £1800 ex VAT from the distributor. I got mine for £1450 Incl VAT from Costco.

Just mains required. The unit comes without hydraulic fluid (shipping regulations they say) so you have to buy that yourself. I went for this one as it doesn’t attack the seals unlike atf fluid:

Hydraulic Oil ISO 46 HLP 46 5 Litres 5L https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B077Y9YRGF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_dqrtMnaEXFT1K

Also, 46 is the right thickness for our climate.

The two sides have wheels so you can just lift each part and roll it to the car and put it underneath. It takes less than 2 minutes to set it all up outside of the garage.

The up/down button is attached on a lead to the main unit.

It's the future PVR, I really like my lift.
A bit more expensive, cost me £2200 delivered etc.
Multiple heights and fits nicely in my garage.
Spoilt myself, makes working on the cars so much better.

That looks nice, I looked at that one as well but I wanted a moveable one rather than a fixed one.

For fixed locations that really is a nice choice

It does have wheels to move it around, it is a little heavy but do-able.
I move it outside of the garage to work on the VW or if I jetwash the underside

My garage floor is resin and I read that it would damage that if moving. How heavy is yours to move?

Ah, I have heavy duty tiles on the floor, it's not all that heavy really, it's more awkward to get back into the garage over the slight slope.
Really easy to move in the garage or on the forecourt, just struggle on my own to get it back up the slope into the garage but I don't take it outside that often.
