Quick tyre pressure question

OK. So I am on run flats. Collected the car and found them to be at 36psi all round. The ride was all over the place. After a quick skim on the forums reduced them to 33 rear and 30 front.
225/45/17. Is there an ideal or optimum range or is it just trial and error?

Only stagger the pressures if the alloys/tyres are staggered
30 would be the lowest whatever
If staggered set up 32 front 34 rear then play around from there

Ahem. Thank you. Just getting used to all this Z4 stuff. Door pillar says 2.2 and 2.0. The previous owner said that it was staggered but a lot of what he said was vague bearing in mind this is our first foray into Zeds.
All tyres the same on all corners. Not sure if these are OEM wheels.
No drama just garnering as much info as possible as the 2.0 litre doesn't seem to get much coverage in forums and manuals.

You are on style 103 (Daisies) so 17inch x 8j x 4 therefore correct tyres 225 45 17
I would be running 32 all round from the off & see how things feel before trying different pressures
Zs are very susceptable to tyre type ,treads & pressures so getting it right can help greatly with the way it feels on the tarmac

Thanks for that. Put them all at 33 this morning.
Just working my way through the car bit by bit.
Full service on Sunday and dismantling the brakes and cleaning and reassembling.
The wife is inseparable from it. Puts her mind, but mostly mine, at rest with every scrap of info.

33 seems slightly high, run the pressues listed on the door jamb as I have on my 2.0. My non run flats have behaved perfectly with even wear. 5mm on fronts 2mm on rears after 20,000 miles (vredestein ultrac vortis)

Door pillar indicates 32psi / 29psi, so that would be a good starting point wouldn't it?

That's a real looker, Mr Wilks. How would you say it compares to the E85? Do you know if they use the identical seats to the old model?

Ok. The recommended reading on door jamb gives staggered pressures but an earlier reply tells me to put all tyres at same pressure if not staggered, which it is, and says 30 psi is low enough.
Hell, I find the ride quite strange as it is, so going to stick them at 31psi all round. It's the wifes car and frankly after all this adjustment she stares at me blankly and whispers 'yes dear' as I relate the forum findings to her.
