quick question on torque setting

BMW TIS has the answers, although finding them can be a bugger! I have this one bookmarked in "the folder"

TIS suggests 41 nm

I did wonder what the "special tool" was that it links to, turns out to be a 'Torque angle measuring dial' from about 1900 by the looks of it :lol:

Just for future reference...

I used to belong to the Norton Motorcycle Club (still have my 75, 850 Commando BTW). Anyway they put out a club publication now and again and the only thing I remember from any of them is this, on torque specs for the Norton. "Tighten it till it strips, then back off a 1/4 turn".
