I'm looking for a new car which my insurance is sorted on my car. I'm really after a 3.0 with smg transmission. Now my question is that I'm confused with the differences between, the se,si and I models? Can someone enlighten me please?

the si has pretty much all the M sport toys, seats, steering wheel, extra power, suspension, sport button and handling button.
to be fair other than the engine, its all just spec, that can be bought for any model, some have everything some have none, just look at what you can afford to whats out there in your price range, and sometimes the best ones are found in places like this rather than auction sites

The si can have all the m sport bits&bobs if it's a sport model, if you get an si se model it won't have any of them unless they were selected as options from new.
They both have the sport button but neither have a handling button.

Si is engine designation not trim level, so no Sport bits (except sport button) unless specified in Sport trim. SE trim has none of these.
Si only available in face lift models. 3.0i pre facelift are all SE trim.

i kinda think i was saying something like that, all models are trim specced its just engine, i did think the si had suspension, but not the m brakes?
Thanks for all the help chaps. Hopefully I'll find one suitable that ticks all the boxes soon!
