I have a black car, so do I do #clear indicators- silver inners

Cheers guys

apologies for stealing some pics

Personally I prefer the black liners but the purists will tell you they are off the smaller engined Zeds and not the 3.0 as I believe yours is, didn't stop ZermattV on his Maldives Blue though.

Clear with black get my vote, it's what I had on my old car with Black Sapphire and always got good comments.

Grills were all black as well.

I'm a purist and reckon the 3.0 should have silver inners. Just my tuppence worth

yo billyGilly - I'm biased, but black background looks great. and having people think you have a 'lowered' powered car than it is, thats always fun! :driving:

Clear with black inners gets my vote.....I would love to change mine to have black inners and ccfl angel eyes.

Only people in the know would know about the 3.0 having silver inners.... And those people generally would be the sort that dont care if you have a 2.0 or an M.

I get the look you are going for in which case the 1st looks right. But I'd say keep it original, as it came out of the factory, mod's look OK but don't always age well. Besides other considerations like insurance and affect on value a pristine original always looks better IMHO.

The 2nd pic looks better imo, it's what I intend to do to mine which currently looks horrible with the orange indicators :/

I thought black inners would suit the black car most, but after seeing those pics I would say the silver inners look much better!

Silver inners and AE'S ftw

Silver - they make the front look wider and open it. Look like eyes wheras the all black is a bit flat. On pic 2 the silver edges to the grille 'pinches' its nose.

And as an extra I agree if It's a 3.0 keep it OEM silver.

I can't see what the issue is with orange indicators. I don't really notice what colour indicators any car has got. They are just there to do a job.Mine is black and my indicators are staying orange, as are the side repeaters. I'd rather spend cash on making the car go/stop/turn faster etc. Each to their own and good luck with whatever you decide to do. That Z in the 1st pics looks fantastic, matt black with black n silver wheels. :D

Billygilly , I don't think you can go far wrong- both silver and black liners will look great on your car when de-tangoed. And think the fact it is so even in this poll demonstrates that.

But I would definitely get rid of the chrome grill surrounds. Think on a black car that makes a big difference.

same here :)

I don't get some of the comments, its a mod so that is the reason to change the car from standard. So what if 3.0 models are meant to have silver inners. If we followed that view we wouldn't change anything.

The ///M has black/chrome grills, so if the ///M division can de chrome so can we.

bigshurv, I hear you but I've fitted a big brake kit, remapped and have good tyres after that the insurance gets alittle crazy

Plus my account is sick of being in the black :D
