Quick question - coding autolocking doors

Hi all,

I have successfully coded my 04 Z4 to open and close the roof using the key.

I want it to autolock the doors at around 10km/h as a safety feature.

The line in the module reads 'VERRIEGELIN_AUT_AB_X_KM/H', currently set as 'nicht_aktiv'

I know I have to change it to 'aktiv', but do I need to replace the 'X' with a 10 or do I leave that line alone?

Thanks

Paul

Nope, no need to change that, it's set in another value, I think it's 16KPH by default (or something around then).

You might find you need to activate it for each key profile as I did as it would work when just set on the base profile. NCSDummy is a great tool to help you code these things.

OOOOOH didn't know you could do this. I find it a really useful feature on my Pug. Could someone please point me in the direction of thread/s dealing with coding the car.

Well I am offski on my hols tomorrow, and then have a busy few weeks workwise and birthday wise. No rush on for it, so some time at the tail end of the year I guess ( can you believe it is already mid October ? ). Would also give me a chance to read up on what other coding is available :).

Have a great time!

Thank you - really looking forward to a week of sunshine ( although apparently it'll be foggy in Olbia until Wednesday ) and not doing very much at all :).

Coding:
1. Autolock after moving x mph
2. Autolock if car doors not opened, this if you accidentally unlock your car without realising, it will relock after 2mins
3. Visual arm & disarm alarm, hazard lights flash on unlock and lock
4. Triple blink on facelift models
5. Audio noise for alarm on lock and unlock.

Think I would only go for 1 & 2 as those are the features I like on the Pug. Quick question though, do the car doors also automatically unlock when airbags are activated ?

Thanks Eddie,

I've had a look at NCS Dummy, but it had several GM5 options so it seemed easier to just use NCS Expert :D

SSS is the easiest for autolock and setting it to all keys

I'm sure the car would auto unlock in the event of a crash.

I had a closer look at NCS Dummy when the laptop was hooked up and I got along fine with it. Coded the car to autolock if not opened after 2 minutes. Also coded it to lock at 16km/H, but can't test this as she is off the road at the moment.

SSS needs a virtual machine as I'm running Windows 7, but it looks good on Youtube!
