I'm having my Z4MC delivered tomorrow , trying to organise some music for my first drive :)

Cant find straight answer anywhere so....Do all 07 z4mc have AUX in as standard ?

Also interested in hearing what options I have to charge IPhone in car , I know aux wont charge , what other opions are there? Intravee?

Cheers

Jamie

Think it depends on package. If you have BT you should be able to pair you iPhone.

I believe all the Z4's from 2007 forward have the AUX input standard, on the panel beneath the climate controls. It didn't come with my 2006, but can be added as the inputs exist on the head unit.

As for the iphone, BMW has an ipod adapter, there is also Intravee as you mentioned, Dice, and Dension to name a couple more. I have the BMW factory ipod adapter, but it didn't come with the 5V charging that is required on the new iphones - you can get a cheap ipod charge adapter that plugs inline that will take care of that. I'm considering changing the BMW ipod adapter out for one of the aftermarket units instead, to add the AUX, USB input (for memory sticks), and text display on the head unit for the iphone music info as well.

Aux was introduced 07-57 so its maybe i'm afraid.

Charging i just have a cig socket to usb adapter in mine to charge my bb or ipod with the correct usb lead.

I also have the intravee.. but have my 1st gen nano connected to that in the boot.

The build date is far more important than the registration date. I believe any car manufactured October 2006 onwards will have the aux, so it's possible there will be some cars that were built before this date but sat around and were not registered until 07 / 57 which means they won't have it.

Wondermike - be interesting to see when yours was built?

That is correct. Mine is a built date April 2007 and has the aux. I am pretty sure it was model year 2007 that had it, so October 2006 onwards.

Check out the Dice Mediabridge. I've had mine installed for about a week and love it. It charges the Iphone, and you can select songs by artist, playlist, album, or simply the next song in the phone right from your factory stereo. Alternatively, you can control such through the phone. It also accepts USB flash drives.

I'm glad I bought mine when I did. The non-bluetooth version is now discontinued, and the only model available is $50 more than what I paid. Also, I did not need a DSP adapter. Some cars might.
