Can you stream music through the BMW bluetooth system in the E86? I know it does calls, but does it also play music?

Thanks!

buy a simple Bluetooth receiver from say, Amazon. run power from USB lighter socket and plug an audio jack into Aux plug ,if you have one
ergo streaming into the sound system
The installed system bluetooth lacks A2DP the vehicle required for audio

Or if you're feeling flush search for Grom audio where for £100 or so you can fit a box that streams music to your standard headunit and allows you to use the steering wheel controls.

I've used GROM in a few cars now and have found them very good and easy to install. The last one I did was in my E46 Touring which was dead easy as it just plugged in in the boot instead of the CD changer - basically open a flap, unplug one cable and plug in the GROM and all done.
For my 2007 Z4C I am planning to do the same. Does anyone know where the best (easiest access) connection is - connect to where the CD Changer would be if I had one, or into the back of the radio unit itself ?
