Quick Detailing Session

Carried out a quick detail this weekend.

Washed & dried Saturday evening when it was cool.

Tackled 2 scratches with the PC, and then clayed Sunday Morning

It's the first time I have clayed this particular car which I have had since new for just over a year, I noticed recently when drying the lower front wings felt rough, it's amazing what a difference claying makes, if you havent tried it put top of your list.

Only problem was it started getting to hot, so the rear bumper and skirts werent done as the clay started binding.

I then hand applied P21S, and buffed using the PC.

Not perfect but not bad.

Looks like a great job ... what did you use on the wheels? I don't think mine have ever looked as good as yours! :(

I wash them using a wash mit including the insides every week, two at most.

I then use Poorboys World Wheel Sealant every couple of months or so, and at least twice a year remove and wax the insides with 2 or 3 coats.

So far after 14k, 1 winter and 12 months of daily running, they still look as good as new.

Yep looks great, esp the wheels :)

Wheels lookg great I agree, but they are coming off when the tyre wear out.

1. I know the monkies in the garrage will probably bugger them.
2. Dont want them to corrode.

I like the M6 reps but not sure they suit a black car. but dont want more than 5 spokes otherwise I think it looks to busy

I'm thinking about these for the SLK, in 18", but I'm a bit undecided...they'd suit the Z4 too

Just had the Style 203s fitted to my car and like them more than the 108s I had before. I will post pics when I have some (probably at the weekend)

This is probably a daft question, but what clay do you use, where from, and what is the best way of applying and removing it?

The car looks great too!

Not a stupid question at all, the last lot I bought was

along with

Personally I split the clay into three pieces and then you spray the detailer on part of a panel and rub the clay over without applying any pressure. I then dry with terry towling of microfibre cloth before waxing.

This site explains it better than I can
