Quick alarm fix please

Your help please....my alarm keeps going off when I lock the car, so much so that I have had to leave it unlocked all the time. I know it's a quick fix with a switch for the bonnet etc, but in the interim, I am going away for 5 days, will taking the fuse out stop it going off, and also flashing the lights etc?

Also where is the fuse box and which fuse?

It's a 2007 E86 Coupe 3.0si

Thanks everyone

Thanks mate, anyone care to show me a pic please? Not sure I'll be able to lean across but I'll try....

Disconnect the bonnet switch and arm the alarm, if it goes off again them the there is a potential problem else where in the system. Mine had this problem, replaced the switch with a new one from bmw and it still plays up. I usually arm it but then press it again to turn off the alarm side of things like the sensors etc. The fuse box is behind the glove box I believe.

The fusebox is at the back of the glovebox but if you can't reach the bonnet switch then forget the fusebox , it requires a contortionist to get at it  ( although the glovebox door drops away for access )

Ah ha, so locking the car with the key will not arm the alarm? Are we sure of this? Don't want to piss my neighbours off

It can also be the interior proximity switch at fault, also common to fail. Use INPA to diagnose.

You can lock the car with the remote without alarm by pressing the lock button twice.
The led under the mirror wil blink once for a longer time.
