So I ordered the last pieces for the M front bumper today and dropped off the bumper at the spray shop. Now the questions;

1. How do I detach the headlight washer covers? I tried lifting them up to see if I could pop them off but feared breaking as they had some fair resistance to being lifted.
2. Anyone have any good links for black/white BMW bonnet and boot emblems? (black, not carbon preferably)
3. Does anyone have the RPI Skid plates on the M fangs? Has anyone had any copies made up?

Thanks

The washer cover top unclips with care, (I cant work out if the bumper is still on your car, if so) get someone to activate the washer and grab it when it's up, the top has a plastic hook/clips that simply comes off the pegs on the sides of the diamond shaped clip on the washer jet.

the above method, of getting someone to trigger them is the easiest... make sure the auto lights are set to on thought :roll: and wear a wain coat!!

I have custom fang guards...

And finally, completing the answers to your trio of questions - email [email protected] and ask him to send you his PDF brochures. Great quality products, quick delivery... I defy you to limit yourself to badges once you have seen them if you've got some visual modding readies spare :evil:

I should be getting a commission, or we should be getting a Forum discount :D

Thanks Bing, I've emailed Ian for the brochure. If anyone has it to hand I wouldn't mind a copy so I can start some wish-listing :oops:

Aquazi,

Do you have the template for the fang guards or did you just get them to trace the bumper? As its in the bodyshop now I'd have to wait until painted to measure up.

Thanks guys

I got the exhaust place to trace it for me. The bumper isnt perfectly flat, but using the existing holes there it fits in place.

Its def saved my front so many times now... Makes a terrible sound when it catches the ground though :cry:

I fitted RPI skid plates when I replaced my front bumper and they're great. My first bumper looked awful from scraping kerbs and speed humps and the replacement is still pristine. Most worrying of all, the original front bumper was starting to pull itself off the car from dragging on the pavement when reversing out of my girlfriend's drive. With the skid plates, it just skids over the hump in the pavement without damaging anything :thumbsup:

Be careful un-clipping that washer cover, I broke mine doing this yesterday and found it easier to un-clip the diamond shape part from the jet instead.
