Questionable Starting

Well my Z was standing outside (as it always does) from last Saturday to today. Went to start it and while it started immediately it ran as bad as a badgers bum, appearing to start on about 3 cylinders and then cutting out. Started again by giving it some throttle, ran a little better on 4 cylinders and by judicious use of the accelerator pedal (giving it a lot more beans) it cleared its throat and went to 6 cylinders and now seems OK.

Any ideas why, normally starts on the button, recently had a health check and not due new plugs etc for some time.

Should i just slap a new set of plugs in as a precaution or jus wait and see

All (sensible) suggestions welcome

Sounds like you have similar sounding fault to mine Norman :headbang:

Here's my thread http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=46501 including a YouTube clip I took yesterday.

Hope you get it sorted soon and keep us updated.

Had the EML Light on while driving -same error code as as you but no running issues, cleared the code. EML light went out and haven't returned as yet. Fingers crossed

I originally cleared the code and it lasted for about 4 weeks then fault reappeared worse than ever. :headbang: :headbang:

The stealer even cleared it after they had checked the usual suspects like the hoses for any splits, this time the light stayed off for 40 miles or about 1 hour to be exact!
