Question on BBS Wheels on a Z4M

Guys,
Being lazy here but hoping someone could help me out.
I'm a big fan of the BBS alloys especially the CH but I've read some user complaints on their weight. How heavy are they? I'm guessing 19" would be heavier that stock wheels. What about like for like (18s CH's and 18" stock).

How does 19" wheels effect the handling on the Z4M?
Any more harsh?

Thanks
Gareth

P.S
Lots of pics of Z4s with some wheel options would be great

Further digging:

19" BBS CH's are:

24lbs (f)
27.9lbs (r)

http://www.tirerack.com is a good website to view wheels on most cars.
Can even change the colour of the car

I can't help with the weight of the CH's but I wouldn't have thought they would be heavier than the 18's the car comes with. I have 2 sets of 19" CSL's, made by BBS, and they are a good bit lighter than the 18's . I'm running Michelin PS2's on one set and the other on Michelin Cups. The handling is superb with either tyre but the Cups give astounding grip (in the dry obviously). I honestly can't say I've noticed any downside when it comes to the ride quality, if anything I thought it improved over the ride on the OEM 18" Contis.

Be careful with the tyre sizes if you go for 19's, I recently put on PS2's, 275/30/19's on the rear and it ruined the high speed handling. The stiffer sidewalls on the 275's just didn't suit the set up on the car IMO. I'm currently running 235/35 front and 265/30 rear which works well.

I bought the first set before the prices went through the roof and the second set were second hand and in need of a refurb. I got them done in a gunmetal grey and they look brilliant on the car. You should be able to get a lightly kerbed set together and refurb them for close to £1000. I sold the original 18's to fund most of the cost of the second set so not as extravagant as it sounds or so I tell myself.

Hi

I run BBS CH's Black editions and I think they are no heavier than the standard crappy 18's. I too also have 2 sets of wheels, well 4 actually! :D I'm selling a set of CSL's if your after a set. :P

I think that the BBS's really suit the Z4MC, and quite a few guys in the US run then. I have read quite a few posts re weights and I don't think you can tell the difference.

Loving those wheels but unsure if they would suit a Imola red Z4 due to the chrome lip.
Still love the style of them!

Imola red and black wheels will be a good combo IMO. Will do this eventually but I may just paint the OEMs black as I think they suit the roadster very well.
