Question for the wheel gurus.

I've got a staggered set of csl reps on my e85. The offsets are et 40 on the rear and et25 on the front. The car is on koni sports shocks with eibach springs.

If I was going to fit some spaces to bring the wheels out a bit what would be sensible to avoid rubbing issues.

what widths are the wheels? ET25 on the front already sounds pretty aggressive, given the standard front wheel on a standard E85 is only ET47.

the rear could possibly take a 10-15mm spacer, but depends on the wheel widths.

Should have checked that when I had the wheels off . Had the wheels off again. They are 8” front and 9” rear the tyres are stock widths, 225 and 255.

I double checked the offsets while I was on the front wasn't 100% clear so I took the other side off just to be sure and it's ET35 not Et25 as I first thought.

I fitted a set of staggered 18" E89 wheels to my 3.0Si that was on standard Sport suspension with the standard 225 front and 255 rear tyres.

Fronts were 8J ET29 so 6mm further out of the arches than your 8J ET35, and based on how they sat I wouldn't want to try anything more than 5mm on the front.

My rears were 8.5J ET40 and could have probably taken a 10mm spacer, but your ET40 rears are going to sit a bit further out anyway as they are 9J. As people have fitted 224s to non-M cars with no issues you ought to be OK with 5mm or possibly 10mm (rear 224s are 9J ET30) but I can't speak from experience!
