Question for space space grey owners

It might have to do with the new N20 engine?

Or the lack of hill start assist on the N20 powered cars. Again most Americans don't know how to drive a manual. Lack of hill start and the silly electric parking brake. ... well we all know about that one.

If AT had been a zero cost option over here, I would have seriously considered it. Would have been our first new car with an autobox in like umm ummm .... I just realized we've never bought a new car with an automatic, even when it was a $0 option.

Hey, I resemble that remark!
Actually, if the 35is had been offered in a manual, I most likely would have taken that.
(I know you were talking about the 20i, though).
My other car is a 6-speed Mini, and I love driving that even though I'm an aging Amurican.

One of the reasons we bought BMWs is that they are one of few cars sold in the US with a Manual.

If most other manufacturers offer a MT at all, it is only on the base model or super stripped advertisers.

UK market has a much wider selection. Mercedes is AT only on many of their higher trim models.

A belated thanks for everone's feedback on space grey. Was a close call but I kept being drawn back to recession white  Still think space grey is a cracking colour.

PS picked up my auto replacement this morning and the 8spd is so sweeeeet :driving:
