Thanks for all the advice - reckon you're right about it being a bit early in the year to muck about with it - I'll put more feed on it next month as suggested - as regards moss we've been in this house for 28 years and we've had moss in the front and back lawns ever since so I'm not too concerned about this - we live in the country so it's never going to be weed free.

As regards the frame that's a white lead stuck on to the frame leading to a string of lights - does give the illusion of a bent frame

Leave well alone. As you say, at least it's green. I've just left moss alone and it has died off in the dry weather.

Wash your mouth out young man, that's no way to tend a garden!!

I really hate gardening. When I have to do it, I'm constantly thinking of all the much more enjoyable things that I could be doing.

I pay a guy to look after my lawns during the summer. I get a lot of satisfaction out of that. 8)
