After a cold start I've noticed a noise that I can only describe as a marble rolling around in a tin can, It's not a rhythmic hard metallic tapping like an HVA but does follow engine speed, doesn't happen after every start and fades away as the engine warms up. I thought I cured it by replacing the auxiliary belt tensior (Bit of play in the pulley and the bearing felt "dry").
Bit of background 06 3.0si 55k miles full service history, negligble oil consumption, engine pulls cleanly with the " Vanos" surge at around 5k rpm, no fault codes stored or pending.
I'm putting it down as a "Characteristic" - but would like to know if others have the same.
