question about OEM springs

Maybe this is a dumb question, but is there a difference in OEM rear springs between a car with the 'sport' option vs a regular one? I know there's a lower ride-height, but is that due to a different spring, or the identical one being pre-tensioned. This is for a 2003 2.5i.

The reason I asked is that I just got my rear springs replaced and it looks to me that there's a good-sized gap between the tires and thw wheel arches. Then again, it could be my imagination. I'll have to compare front vs back in broad daylight later today.

Cheers.

on the early cars 'M suspension' was an option that firmed up the springs and lowered the ride height by about 20mm; ie shorter springs with different part numbers

If you "just" got it replaced, then you'll have to wait for the suspension to settle. I reckon it'll be "normal" again later today / tomorrow.
