Question about clip that holds the kidney grille

Mine seems to be loose at the top - not the grille itself but the plastic ring which it clips into - can it just be glued?

Do you mean the surround of the grill, or the bumper? Is there a clip missing? I wouldn't glue into the bumper TBH.

Sorry the surround of the grill - the part that stays on the car when you unclip the grille if that makes sense?

The whole thing comes off, the grill and the surround.

Yes the silver part comes away from the vertical slates. Normally both parts are removed from the car together before separating.

No sorry it's tricky to describe - the chrome and black slats have come away in one - the part that's loose is still attached to the car - it's the plastic ring that the surround for the grille clips into

srhutch has it - the grilles have come away in one piece which could now be separated - the bit that seems to be broken is the part that the grille/surround clips into which is still attached to the car but is loose at the top

But doesn't the surround clip to the grills, then the whole piece clips into the bumper? I don't see how the surround clips into the bumper first?

Hi Russ and thanks - yes the part in your first picture seems to be loose at the top - I was thinking about gluing it in place?
