Query Re Servicing.

Hi All,

I've had my Z4M for 10 months now, but a change in roles at work and bad weather mean I've not done as much miles as I usually do, I've only done about 4k miles this last 10 months.

What do I do about servicing? Should I get the car serviced every 12 months (so in 2 months time) so should I just rely on the BWM service indicator which still shows 10k miles until next service.

Any advice appreciated.

go by the service indicater it tell you when or every 2 years .but at the end of the day it is how you feel i do 3500 miles a year have a oil and filter change every 6 months for peace of mind plus my son works at bm

Thanks.. I assumed it was 1 year intervals, if it's 2 that that's great.

I think every 6 months for an oil chance is excessive on that milage, it won't even be run in by then.

If you read the book it states only the oil and brake fluid need to be changed every 2 years. All other servicing is based on wear. BMW will tell you every 2 years to get more ££££.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

You sir are right. (Although others will disagree)

an interim oil change is never a bad thing and oil is cheap (from opie ), you can do this yourself too , a satisfying way to get down and dirty and engage with and learn a bit more about the magical machine you drive,
