Firstly, well chuffed this turned out good. :D

The rear ambers like some of you were annoying me a bit, so with some free thinking i have remedied this cheaply.
Heres how, buy the all clear set from german ebay (£115), a can of red tint spray (£5) and some masking tape. I then Sold the side indicators and 3rd brake (already had them) and bobs your uncle.

I was VERY scepticle about the spray, but i could not believe how good it turned out. I thought maybe it would look dull and un-OEM. But it looks MINT, as glosssy as glass and oem to anybody's eyes.

Oh good effort! But from my experience of masking tape how did you make a perfect circle out of it to stick in the right place that didn't get any of the tint spray under it?

Hey Dreamer - that's worked really well. I love the innovation

How did you tackle the fog light? Is it a silvered reb bulb or an LED cluster?

All stuff that went through my head before i did it.

I thought about buying a compass drawing tool and all sorts, but then realised the circles aren't actually round at all.

So i just stuck masking tape on and cut round VERY carefully with a craft knife and sprayed them. The coats built up and looked about the right shade. I took of the masking tape and the edges were clean as a whistle! :D

I remember spray tinting a mates rear lights on a renault 5 about 15 years ago and it looked awful, really dull and matt looking. That was my major worry and i thought maybe i would have to get them laquered somewhere to get the shiny finish right. Not sure if its because its red spray or a different type but it comes out extremely gloss, so blends brilliantly.

Seriously they look perfect even up close, a friend looked at them from inches away and said he could never tell they had been sprayed.

Edit: CJ haven't actually sorted a bulb yet, will do though soon enough.

I have never looked at the rear lights in detail, did you dismantle them to spray the insides ? i have been thinking, if people are concerned with spraying the insides, there is always the option of buying the red overlays from stateside, sticking them in position and spraying, this should then give you the exact shape required once its been peeled off, just a thought ?

Just done a very similar excercise myself, no photo's yet as it's not stopped raining since I did it and now I'm away from home with work,
I did not use the totally clear light kit as you have done but the White Indicator kit complete with 3rd Brake light and Side repeaters from 'Prostyling' off the German ebay site (great service) then bought the reversing light from my local stealer, I have fitted a Red Chrome Lamp to the Foglight and it seems to work well enough MOT time will be the real test though,

Very happy with the results, and as it's a Sterling Grey car it looks exactly the same as yours.
