Quad fitted

I posted about this the other day but the photo's were taken at night and therefore not very clear. I've also been asked to capture the sound of the exhaust so this is just a little update to those requests.

Annoyingly it's got a rattle on the passenger side due to a missing exhaust mounting so I'll get that fixed over the weekend. Big thanks to DLV for getting in touch when this became available, I'm happy :)

Yes the car needs a good wash and yes I'm waiting for the weather to pick up before I respray the rear bumper, just before those things get pointed out (again).

Awful rattle aside, doesn't sound too bad for a four-pot

Looks brilliant, where from if I may ask??

I got it off another forum member (DuckLakeView). He removed it from another Zed. I've had it for a while but only just got round to fitting it.

Sounds well that Jay - Told you it would

Your aux belt is making some noise there too!

See, not a mention of the dirty car/matt paint finish.. Erm

Haha thanks Mike ;)

Yeah I'm buzzing about how well it sounds. Some nice pops now and then and a lot more throaty. I was hoping to get away with fitting it discretely so I don't get a talking to about the cash but there's nothing discrete about it!

Out of interest what did you do with the charcoal filter that's on the RHS and does your insurance cost any more with the quad fitted. Looks really good by the way, especially the tips

Cheers Mike is there enough room so that it doesn't get the box too hot? Nice work who ever did the pipe

I had to tuck the charcoal filter further into the right hand corner. The exhaust on that side mounts to the fitting where the charcoal filter was originally. It's tight but there is room to maneuver things. I'll have to get back to you on the insurance as I plan to ring them this weekend. I don't imagine there will be a lot of difference because I already have a fair few mods on there but we'll see :-?

Looks and sounds decent! Bet your happy!

I removed my charcoal filter completely and have had no issues... just a slight vacuum if I put a full tank in and don’t open the cap till it’s empty so every now and then I just open the cap when I get home to equalise the pressure

I did think about removing it completely, it was a bit of a fiddly job. I haven't got round to fixing that damn rattle yet but other than that yeah I'm made up :D

Must have had it a couple of months now... I'm not usually one to sit on a job that long, it was giving me the itch!
