Quad Exhausts

Hi everyone I know this is a topic that’s been discussed for a while and there have been many posts about it, however I can’t quite get how it’s done

I plan on taking off the rear bumper and cutting it (with acccurate measurements ofc  ) but I’m not sure if that’s the right way to go?

Just wanted an opinion from you guys!

Z4M has the battery in a different location due to the exhaust I think. So it may be that if you wanted to fit quad exhausts you'd either have to use a custom exhaust and/or move the battery location.
But I'm no expert...could be very wrong.

A previous owner did the conversion on mine. He took it to the pro's. They cut, heated and molded the drives side exit to create a nice curved rebate. It looks factory.
No hacksaws were used.

I cut my bumper etc and shaped it and a forum member fabricated this cut a hole into the existing box and welding this part to it, ran it behind the bumper and out through the new hole. Not the prettiest but once it was all back together it looked great.IMG_1221.jpegIMG_1371.jpeg

I need to raise the left a trifle, I think the rubber hanger has stretched a little.
But otherwise, it's a tidy install.
I absolutely recommend getting the hole cut at a proper bodyshop, then heated/molded, to match the factory side.
