Quad Exhaust Conversion

Looking really good! It will be good once it's sooted up a bit. Mine changed quite a bit after 1000 miles or so. Below a bit more raspy and less droning from it. I don't have any rear boxes though, so it does sound like thunder has arrived!

You must be really pleased with the results?

I'll be interested in seeing the results. I got mine at the same place, and my lhd has shifted and been meaning to adjust it myself, or take it back for them to adjust it at some point.

Also mine was deadly silent at first less then stock.. but now after 6 months is sounds much better.

I ended up getting under mine and cutting a thread on hanger of the exhaust then used a large repair washer and nyloc nut to hold everything in place, thought it easier than going back given my dealings with them (and the distance involved).

I would agree that it definitely sounded quieter at first but has bedded in a bit over time and at higher revs now sounds sweeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!

Nice I just gotta have one of these!! Do the new RHS tailpipes have a hanger like the einsmann or is it just suspended from the LH box. Dare I ask how much?

Hi. Not sure about the hanger on an Einsmann, so can't comment, but the RHS is secured via a bracket and certainly seems very secure. Cost was £700 plus VAT. Took the team a full day from 7.45 to 4.45 to do this and it shows in the work. I had a s/s system fitted on an XK8 convertible before by another national chain and there is a distinct difference in quality; this is superbly built and fitted. Really pleased.

So here's the final look, with the car back to it's rightful state of cleanliness!

Machine polishers are wonderful things, when you have a wet Sunday to keep you from straying out. Spent yesterday giving her some tlc in the garage. Farecla Liquid compound and finishing liquid brought her up a treat. :)

quad exhaust on a 3.0, ? balances the rear of the car nicely,...........its not the start of the slippery slope to an M badge is it !!! :poke:

The eisenmann one isnt really a proper quad system in that it is just a T off the left back box that feeds the right one...

For a real quad you have to sort the battery problem.

Posted is the sound of the Eisenmann type exhaust. Got lots of approving nods on Sunday at the Midlands meet.
