Quad exhaust conversion question

So I've had my bumper back from the spray shop and have installed it awaiting my exhaust to be put on.

On the drivers side is what I believe to be a filter of some sort. Does need to be moved or can I just tie the pipes back a bit? If it needs to be moved what have people don't to relocate it?

Chop the whole thing out and plug up the pipe that runs to the engine. Did that on mine 5 years ago to allow room for an ///M box on the RHS. No ill effects since.

I believe (but stand to be corrected) that it's a filter for petrol fumes that is used solely for an initial pollution test, where the tank is warmed up and thus filters any vapour and passes what's left forward to the engine to combust. My garage doesn't smell of petrol when it warms up...

Hi mate got your message :)
Because i've got a T- piece quad it's not in my way the pipes I just pushed out the way and held up with a cable tie
