I s the exhaust custom made then? looks good/i too would like the qaud exhst,as feel it looks better balanced also, but the hassle/expense outweighs the look advantage.
Did u have to move the battery or what??(as cj did)

I seen CJ's write up and that put the fear of God into me!!

This a full custom solution and I'll try to get some photo's up tomorrow to better show how it's been done.

Of course, when you come back with the additional photos we'll be demanding sound clips.

Just as a heads up

The sound clip kinda goes without saying now that I think about it!

I've got a bullet cam that I bought for a trip to the ring last year so I should be able to get some footage near the exit.

Looks great! Very nice, giving the car a bit more muscle to its looks. I wonder if it's worth fitting a quad exhaust system to mine...

Looks really good (both the exhaust and roof)

I presume you have gone for a main back box on the NS and then ran a T pipe across between the rear cross member and bumper cover to the RHS with some sort of small collector/elbow to mount the tips on?

ok some more photo's and details as requested! Apologies that the car is dirty bit it was raining this morning!

The system was done by Simon's Custom Exhausts in East Kilbride. I'm not going to talk about cost as every system he builds will be slightly different depending on your exact requirements.

Ok so what he has done is cut off the rear section and taken a feed from each pipe:

Due to the lack of room on the drivers side he has welded a 2nd back box on the passanger side box:

As has been spoken about by a few others the drivers side pipe has then been channelled along the back of the car between the rear bulkhead and the bumper skin (this is not a dummy 'T' pipe but is a proper feed):

I wanted a staggered twin pipe on either side which are finished with a rolled out 3.5" exit.

Hope this answer a few of the questions.

I will get a sound clip up once I get round to taking some video.

That will tide us over for now... nice work

Good luck filming it - if you click my YouTube link you'll see some of the challenges I had!

Enjoy... the good news is, they sound better with age, so lots of :driving:

Innovative idea to join 2 boxes then take a feed out the RHS. Most just use one big box with a spur to the RHS

First attempt at a soundclip, it sounds OK when it's through proper speakers.

Sounds rubbish on my laptop though!

Apologies for the stupid angle of the camera too

:headbang: can't get it to embed the link so this will have to do! sorry

Sounds nice

To embed the vid just use the characters after the "="

Code:

Sounds good in the clip... frustratingly, I bet there were moments when it seem quiet in the clip, but you could hear it while driving?

Seems like a job well done 8)
