Morning guys,

My car is currently up for sale (will be going back on piston heads this week)

I thought I would post on here on the off chance someone is interested in these cars and would possibly be up for a swap or cash sale.

I have always liked the z4's and Would love one!

My vx2220 is a special one , it's had the sought after supercharger conversion done.

Here is my ad for the car , any interest/ questions just let me know!

£10,500 Ono

FRESH MOT just put on!

The time has arrived to put my pride and joy up for sale

I have had the huge pleasure of owning and driving one of these amazing cars, it certainly did not disappoint!

When I was looking for a vx220 I was unsure wether to get a turbo or NA , I just really wanted best of the best and a really rare car which is when I did my research on the s/c conversions and this beauty popped up which I obviously had to get!

I had bought it with the intention of modding it even more and keeping it for a good amount of time however plans have changed in my personal life.

The car is used as a daily(commute to work and also enjoyed at the weekend) , its no garage warmer!

I recently did a 400 mile round trip to
Cardiff and it really was the best driving experience i have had.

Important Details ;

- fully HPI clear
- just over 53k miles(will go up slightly)
- 51 plate
- mot and tax
- 3 previous owners
- 2 keys + alarm fobs
- Full service history(8 stamps), last one at 47039 ( sports car services ,cannock)

where the following work was carried out;

Brake fluid change - Brake discs and pads replaced - spark plugs replaced - remote batteries changed - oil change.

The car has obviously had a lot of new parts fitted due to the conversion since that previous service and also had an oil change before i picked the car up at around 50k miles
I have also changed the oil since having the car to a slightly thicker oil.

- Body condition is good with a few minor age related blemishes and stone chips etc see bonnet pic for worst paint blemish, also has a blemish where the v grill goes. The fuel cap could do with a repainted or returned to standard silver(these where next on my list to fix but they really are not eye catching)

-Interior condition is good ,only bad bit is the usual wear on the drivers seat.

If you are after one of these then you will pretty much have a good idea what there about etc.

The car has had a supercharger conversion done which is very sought after and rare to catch one for Sale. ( giving the car the power it should of left the factory)

I bought it all ready done by a well known guy from the vx220 forum which has has done numerous s/c conversions, the conversion is less than 5k miles old.

The work was carried out at Mmg (lotus/vx specialists) and some
Parts and help from Courtenay sport (Vaux specialists)

So quick spec of the car upgrades ;

ENGINE

- 2.2
- Stage 2 remap supercharger conversion
- 250-260bhp ( 0-60 in around 4 seconds)
- Miltek exhaust with sports cat

HANDLING

- GAZ pro gold suspension kit (adjustable)
- Uprated grooved discs
- MMG long diffuser
- Turbo spoiler

BODY AND INTERIOR CHANGES

- vx220 turbo scoops/vents (gloss black)
- Alloy indicator stalks and window winders
- momo gear surround/handbrake/steering wheel
- Sony CD player with uprated speakers
- Satin black wheels/window surround

The car benefits from a genuine factory hard top which is a huge benefit (especially for the winter) as well as the standard canvas roof.

I have actually never took it on a track but these are very well known to be a perfect track weapon , so if you are after a a vx220 with a nice spec for track or just road use then this is the one.

As i was after a daily car i decided to buy a vx with the conversion already done by a specialist to save any teething problems and off road time i would of had to deal with.

I have Probably missed out some stuff , if you want more pictures or info please let me know.

Niiiiiiiiiice,
might be an idea to say where you live, and a bit of background what age/spec/colour etc Zed you're after.

This sort of car is on my "five plus the bonus ball" list.

yeah sure , based in north wales not too far from chester.

The z4 im after ideally would be black/grey , sat nav and red leather would be a bonus.

however i will consider more variants

engine wise probably 2.5 si/3.0 si

I came from VX ownership and I was on the verge of supercharging but was persuaded by the mrs who wanted something a bit less focused.
This is a very good price. They come up for sale very rarely and are sought after among the VX community. Although it's the wrong time of year to be selling a car like this, I bet it will be snapped up soon.

I also had work done by Liam at MMG and he really is a top bloke. Everything will have been done thoroughly and correctly. These cars are also very light and the power to weight ratio will be ridiculous. The handling is also something else, very go kart like.

If you're thinking of buying a VX, supercharged is the way to go. The linear power delivery is more predictable and less on/off than the turbo.

cheers mate  yeah i did my research buying one and i've had turbo cars before so i thought id go for something different and i'm so glad i did as its redicilously fast but really manageable.

power to weight is insane really on these , yeah i agree worst time on year to sell :tumbleweed: haha.

my friend has a 2.0 si z4 and i love it every time i get in it , so solid on the road and surprisingly nippy.

But thanks for that comment makes me look less of a NUT asking 10.5 for a bit of plastic haha

I went from the 2.2 na to a Z4M Coupe. I love the noise of the M and the Mrs loves the refinement and comparative luxury. But I do miss the directness and rawness of the steering and controls.

I think you ought to look for something with more power than the 2.0 coming from 260 horses weighing less than a ton.

yeah ideally i would want the z4m but just out my price range atm. i'd be more than happy with a 2.5si or 3.0si as i know its not going to be as fast but i want the z4 for the feeling of the sports car but have the luxuries too

You're in exactly the same position as me a year ago. I ended up spending more than I intended but I've never regretted it and I've used it more than the VX cos the Mrs likes it.
