putting the 3.0i back on!?

Guys, I have ordered the 3.0i letters to put back on the sides of my zed (been modded in the past and had all badges removed)

so - couple of questions....
1) how do I work out exactly where to stick them back on (height and proximity to the indicator) ... any got any close up pics/positions ???
2) what do I clean the area with in order to remove the wax but not damage the paint

lol - I thought it migtht be! (and also that you guys might be the last people to ask about where/how to put em back on!! :rofl: )

tbh ... coz its a 3.0i (if you know what I mean) :wink:
 
Passenger side - The "i" should be 28mm from the gap between wing & door
Driver side - The "3" should be 28mm from the gap between wing & door

Bottom of lettering should be in line with center of indicator roundel.

Yep - on a 3.0i I would keep those 2 badges (and didwhen I took the Z4 off)
Leave it to the smaller engines to fully debadge :poke:
 
Whatever you do don't do what this idiot did

I took the M badge off (it didn't belong) and cleaned the glue with Brakleen and WD40. It looked like it took the wax off fairly well so I could polish up the damaged bit.
 
Isopropyl alcohol - available from some chemists (although not the ones around my way strangely) although I got mine from Maplin.
