I am sure this subject has been raised many times but would appreciate some input. I want to remove all 4 wheels at the same time, so need to place the car on Jack stands. As the jacking points are also the logical place for stands. I thought of using two cross lifting beams ( one for front and the other for the back ) lifting the front first from the central jacking point of the beam , and when lifted high enough place the jack stands under the lift pads of the cross beam. The same would be repeated for the rear. This would mean using two cross beams , both being left in position while supporting the car on stands.
The problem may be not enough ground clearance to accommodate a cross beam and jack. Also would the front be stable enough when lifting the back.
Anyone tried this or investigated, would welcome your thoughts.
