Well it seems to be catching on, made popular (for this usage) by one Lyndsey Marie. I have seen her referred to as a “conservative influencer”. She posted on Tik-Tok that she should no longer be referred to as an anti-vaxxer but as a pureblood. I gather that this mainly refers to the changes in red blood cells (and other blood anomalies) found in the blood smear slides of some Covid vaccinated people.
Of course those opposed to the use of that term have called it “racist”. That seems to be the main salvo fired from both the left and right side of the aisle whenever they attempt to demonize their opponent. To me the term has been so overused that it has lost its bite and is basically meaningless. I guess the term pureblood was used in the Harry Potter series and others link it to Nazi Germany.
Anyway I like the term and have adopted it for myself. I bought T-shirts for me and my brother with the saying “pureblood, unmasked, unvaxxed, unafraid”. I’m sure he will like it. Proud to be a Pureblood !
