Punctures

Ive just picked up two punctures in the last week and have just found out that you cant repair a puncture in a runflat

The cheapest I can find replacements is £120 per corner, does anyone know of any cheaper alternatives? I would be inclined to just go with normal tyres and a can of tyre weld but I may be getting rid of the car soon and Im thinking it may be a better idea to stick with the runflats.

Dont suppose anyone has any for sale in a 17"?

Cheers.

Pete.

You can repair a puncture in a runflat, as long as it's not in the sidewall or shoulder and has not been driven on.

However, how many people actually notice they've got a puncture at the instant it happens?

hi,

£120 a corner???

is that for a front or rear? i am after a rear and the cheapest i have found is £208 inc. VAT. Bridgestone.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think that Conti Contact 2 isn't a runflat. Not a good idea to mix runflat and non-runflat on a car.

If it was me, and I was selling the car soon, I'd ensure it had the runflats on it. So might be better shelling out for one unfortunately.

ETA: sorry, they are runflats! My error. Might be worth having the same brand/tyre on all 4 corners though if you're selling?
