Puncture

Got a god damn puncture on the motorway yesterday. I'm on non-RFT's that are practically brand new. I didn't even know what the light on the dash meant until I pulled over and could hear a slight hiss from the rear tyre. Drove straight to tyre spot (only 2 minutes away) and the nail was in about an inch and a half from the sidewall. Patched it up but they weren't happy the patch would stick. Not having much luck. I'm on Avon ZZ5's which I suppose aren't too expensive...
Now who the f**k left that b*****d nail on the p*****g motorway?!!

Is this a good enough excuse to buy 19" CSL's and a new set of tyres?

i had the same situation almost this year! got a puncture in the rear tyre, had to folk out and get 2 new rear tyres as they needed changing anyway! 2 weeks later another puncture in the same tyre! pissed off wasn't the word!

Avon ZZ5s are a cracking tyre for the money. You should be able to find a new rear 255/35/18 for around £150 (fitted). Still sucks to have a puncture :(

Yeah what a ball ache. I've found a rear tyre for 116 delivered online. I've been really impressed with the tyres to be honest. Very good grip, predictable and good value.
Still, could've bought 10 stubbies for that or 1/10th the cost of a CSL rep/Tyre package or cleaning goodies. ARGH.. Must stop thinking like this! lol.

Somebody must have seen my post about the ZZ5's and bought the lot at £116 each inc delivery. It was out of stock when I went to buy it.

I managed to get one at £140 fitted so I have the car back now. God it's good to be back in the Zed. Been driving around in my gf's Honda Jazz. Loool.
