I thought the worm/plug/mushroom type repair kits were not meant to be used as a permanent repair on tyres with a W, Y, or Z rating. I thought the only 'legal' permanent repair on a W/Y/Z tyre had to be hot galvanized?mr nurburgring said:I have a DIY tyre puncture repair kit, the rubber worm type. You've got bigger balls than me then, as I'd have driven home carefully after affecting a 'temporary' repair, and wouldn't have even attempted to do the last session on a known damaged tyre. It's a fair cop... said:Picked up a nail at a track day a while back and successfully effected a repair with a mushroom headed wood screw. Finished the last session on it and made it home too.
