I Have viewed several posts re the best puncture repaire kit to use but most are based on kit that is available but never called upon . So I am looking for members who actual used repaur kits and in there experiance was it good or bad and hopefully finding a kit that has a good reccomendation.

I’ve used the rats tails kits many times & never had an issue with them

The last puncture i got was a piece of wire, pulled it out with pliers and ran a screw in.
It happened at a time when i couldn't get to a garage to get it sorted for a few days due to work, but it stayed inflated until my day off (about 4 days later)

Another who has used the rats tail kits off flea bay a number of times. They have always worked fine. The only issue is the glue evaporates. So even if not used, you need to replace that ever few years.

After paying $$$ for a puncture repair at a garage a few years ago, I bought a kit which I've since used I think 3 times. It comes with a few plugs, glue and of course the tools. This example was my old Subaru, didn't even need to remove the front wheel fortunately
I carry this kit, a pump and some tyre snot.

+1 on the 'rats tails'.
After reading Smartbears previous posts I bought a set for both cars and my bike.
To date only used once (that's done it ) on a mates car. worked perfectly

I have used mushrooms and rats tails on mine and others’ motorbikes and cars tyres, with great success. The tyres went on to last thousands of miles. I own motorbike kits because they’re small.

I thought that Rat Tails were only a temporary / get you home repair?
Nope just as good as what a shop will do for you in terms of longevity. It's important not to cheat yourself though. You can fix stuff a garage is not allowed too. eg close to the edge of the tyre. You use your own judgement and take a risk in those circumstances. That will get you home but then you need to go buy a new safe tyre.

Has anyone tried these?

FWIW of the 4 punctures I’ve witnessed in 5 years on Zeds they all were non repairable by any means

2 torn sidewalls

I compression pinched sidewall from a pothole

I bolt through main tread

In all cases it was either a space saver or the breakdown recovery / new tyre
