Driving home from work last night and 2 miles into my journey the car started to pull left and the tyre pressure monitor system light lit up.

Managed to limp home and have a look. god knows how I got a split in the tyre there. Bit gutted really as it was a goodyear eagle f1 with tread left.

A few weeks ago the same thing happened but it was a slow puncture and I couldn't find the source, so it's probably just got worse over time.

Oh well. £108 lighter but have a nice new vredestein ultrac sessanta on the front

Ouch!

That looks like it's touched a kerb based on the scuff :?

Worth changing both fronts and selling the old good one as a part worn? At least that way you don't get any funny behaviour from the steering

it does, although the kerb mark has been on the alloy since i bought it last march.

i really do hope someone hasn't inserted a sharp object into the tyre :(

Someone slashed a couple of tyres on my MG a couple of years back. fortunately they were genuinely the worst tyres I've ever driven on and they were promptly replaced with a great set of Avons from ATS Euromaster. Their tyre insurance policy was well worth a buy as they said they will cover any similar incidents!

Don't know how they compare on Z4 tyre prices though.

thats poor if some one has. the ex ran into a curb with her little car and ripped a it off that tyre protector bit off. the guy at the local tyre place said it was nothing and told us to carry on using the tyre.

those vreds look a bit swish
