Pump Frustrations

Anyone got a good tip for this problem?! Dont matter what petrol station i goto my z sends me crackers trying to fill up!

Ive seemed to have tried everything but apart from filling stupid slowly all i get is click click (swear) click (swear more) click :headbang:
 
mine does this as well! cuts off all the time! ive fixed the problem by putting the pump all the way in as normal then inverting the handle upside down! works every time!

PS I have a Wrangler Jeep that is an absolute b*****d to put petrol into, so, by comparison, my Z3 and Z4 are a doddle.

I've not read it but I'm sure caro and ruby have??
 
When I had my Z4 I used to get the same problem at one BP garage. I think is to do with bad venting on the car + old pumps as it never happened at a Shell garage that had new pumps installed.
 
Seems to depend entirely upon the petrol station, esso is a nightmare for me, but shell are fine.
 
Titan you can try filling my car up to see if it does the same.. £50 should do it :rofl: :thumbsup:

but yeah PITA! i actually turn the handle upside down so the trigger is facing upwards and fill my car.. :lol:

I think you may be confusing me with Titan Tim ;) but the answer is still no !

However having had the car less than a week I have had one good fill up and one PITA. The first tankful was Vpower nitro which was readily squirted in at the maximum flow the nozzle would give. It was a new pump at a modern station.
The second tank was Total Excellium from an ancient establishment. The pump clicked on and off interminably no matter how far in/out/up/down I held it. I certainly won't be gong back there!
