Pugs v French Bulldog

Hello has anyone any experience of the above mentioned dog breeds or preferences, we lost our dog after 14 yrs in April, thinking about another. Thanks in advance Steve.

I don't understand the attraction with these types of breeds tbh
I'm with you there. Each to their own but I feel sorry for the ones that have breathing problems because of the breeding to make them look like they have a punched nose.

Not keen on pugs, frenchies are cute, it's the ears...wife loves em.

Former coworker, a hard man with a very hard past got one, fell in love with his little frenchy.
That's all I know

Love your English, Dangerous Dave. We had a similar one when I was growing up and they're wonderful family pets. So much character and personality. One of the family, not just a dog!

I know! It's so cruel.

go no idea about either, but my 21 year old daughter is driving me mad about pugs. her whole outlook on life is aimed at "when she can have a pug". she thinks that i'm going to look after it when she goes away on holiday……. No way Jose!

this is how mad she is, and this is just a small exhibition.

One of my customers has an Jug
A cross of Pug xJack Russell . Looks just like a Pug with a longer snout so no breathing problems.
Apart from the Farting  Dave is a great little dog.

Ugly things and like others I see no attraction in them.
Each to their own, but I'd cross the road rather than go near anything from any of these sort of breeds.

Get yourself a nice big labrador or a Golden Retriever, quick like before she can send over a little snotty dog for daycare...

arrrrrrr thats a bit harsh

Well as you ask.
Looks is personal and I think they are just downright horrible looking.

As to crossing the road - I'm a runner and don't have time to differentiate in 5 seconds. To me they are all in the pit bull avoid category. Wrong as they are not the same, but bitten too many times on 30 years of road running.

Each to their own though.

I just think they are damn ugly  if I were to have a dog it would have to be a husky. But I'm a cat person really. Mainly because I cba with dogs and would be cruel to get one if I'm not willing to walk it twice a day.

Go for something crossed with a poodle so that it doesn't moult....and they are very intelligent also...look at Shih-tau poodle or a Labra doodle

Brilliant, well done for hijacking a dog thread with some cat photos. Must say I agree that pugs & bulldogs (French or English) are really ugly & I also do not like squashed faced cats - don't see the attraction.
