Puddle lights

Apologies if this topic has been well covered but a search didn't pinpoint what I need to know, so here goes.
Please can anyone tell me if a 2003 Z4 3.0 SE Auto like mine is pre-wired in the doors for puddle lights. I know I can wire into the foot well lights but I wondered if there was a connection inside the door for these. If not, is it difficult to pass a twin core cable (speaker cable size) through the cables tube into the door from the body.

Not or wired, but a few have added internal handle led's along with puddle light in either the bottom of the door of mirror housing.

No . there is no 12v in the door
There are empty slots in the plug an socket that connects the door to the car you just need to buy the pins
There is a good guide in the how to

Thanks very much Mark. I will have a look through it.. So many things I want to do, these switches, cruise control (when I find a column switch ) etc.
