Australia gets my vote. Good weather, speak English, like beer, don't take themselves too seriously and sorted the Covid sh*t so well. Shame I'm too old to get in! :wink:

I know the one, on the edge of the retail park by McD / Tesco - there is a pretty rough estate by that place so no wonder you copped grief

I’ve been to Australia 3 times since 2016, one trip for a month, up and down the east coast. As far north as Cairns and Port Douglas, and as far south as Byron Bay, but mostly Brisbane down to the Gold Coast and Lamington National Park. What a stunning and chilled out country. Had I gone there as a younger person, I’d likely be living there now.

Also tried NZ South Island, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but it didn’t get me like Australia did.

Problem here is that the chav part of the population don’t know they’re chavs. And whilst these lowlife folk make up a small percentage of people, they have a massive impact and influence on the rest of us.

100% the same, I started in Cairns/Port Douglas and travelled south to Brisbane and Sydney. If I had gone when I was 20 I would have done everything I could to move to Brisbane it was an absolutely fantastic city I loved it there

We know an English family that moved to NZ about 12 years ago. They were struggling with mortgage/ cost of living here. Within a year they had built their own house in NZ and have been living the dream ever since.
