Proud parent moment

Inspiring and humbling! That's all I can say really, anything else won't do you and your son justice. Great news that the wheelchair fits in the boot, at least drives out etc can still be shared!

Yes mark he did do his work experience at Aston
Martin. He loved it.
I'm hoping he wants to come to zedfest again

Mack cheers. He loved the mill. Liked the engineering behind it

Bloody Hell Ross, how awful.
I remember meeting you and James at Zedfest last year. it just shows that you never know whats round the corner.

I had a similar situation with my lad at 12, hes now 15. I'l PM you my number if you want to talk?

Thanks mr Tourette. My lad is the one doing all the impressive stuff. I just give support where I can. Don't get me wrong he can be a typical know it all 15 year old and he does get disciplined when necessary. I don't treat him any different than before the accident. I ask him to be respectful at all times. Sometimes he gets antsy but in the main he's a good lad

Great attitude Ross, and I think every parent on here will share your pride at how well your son is reacting as well as your feelings about the whole situation. You should be immensely proud of him, and not ashamed that at time you find it tough to deal with.

Hats off to you buddy.

Thanks for posting that. Inspiring to read how your lad is overcoming adversity and getting on with what life has punched his way. Best of luck to him with his exams, hard work usually pays off.

Thanks Worcester, buzyg, titantim. For the well wishes. I will post updates as and when things move forward

Good for him and good for you! When I read stories like this I realise that most of us haven't got much to complain about have we? I hope things continue to get better for both of you.

Hi kingfisher thanks after watching the news this morning we can't complain either. Some families have lost everything last night
