Just ordered the chrome tips.. (actually, I think they are satin chrome) Figured this was a no brainer..

I am not sure what will be next..... I am really glad I found this forum!!!!

Dont feel pressured into a stubby. We have all been there and felt your pain. The more experienced members push the stubby on the innocent newbie. Join our campaign to STOP THE STUBBY!

The stubby is not really high right now on my list.. The tips are needed though.. I think I will just leave the black grill because it complements the tires, the soft top,and the darker headlamps..

I also prefer the black grill, it gives a nice contrast to the white body!

it's from 2007, right? shouldnt'it be a 3.0Si instead of 3.0i?

7) Pretty darn sure that there are 10 working speakers..

Can anyone shed any light on this.. I am getting conflicting reports as I scan older posts..

sounds like the carver system which is the same as mine with speaker locations and settings etc, apart from the head unit in mine is grey, not black. i could be wrong but a black head unit means you can play mp3 discs?

I am still a miss on what system I have.. I did notice that the Buisness head unit has HD radio integrated.. :thumbsup: Anyone,..Anyone,... Bueller?? :? Still can't find the amp!! I am starting to think that 10 speakers was standard on the 2007 model.. If so, then how is it so powerful?? Cranked it up and rocked out tonight and it is tons more powerful than my Infinity system in my Jeep Grand Cherokee.. There has to be an amp somewhere??
 
I really like it. I really wanted one in white.. just couldnt find the right spec here.

In the states for the facelift they had both a 3.0i and a 3.0si the si being a more powerful variant (which i dont see the point off as the 3.0i is 230 odd bhp which isnt far off a 2.5si).. which is why it also had black inners in the headlights, as only the si and M there get chrome inners. But imo i prefer black inners.
 
MHeavNC, hello from czech republic and welcome!!! :) May I suggest going all matte black on the kidney grilles? Might be a nice contrast with the white and it might compliment the lights nicely :)
 
Thanks for all the compliments and mod ideas.. I will keep my ears peeled for the valve lifter ticking that some N52 engines have.. So far, the engine is purring like it should.. Just read that the 3.0si has the same N52 engine.. Other than the induction, are there many more differences to constitute 40 more bhp compared to the 3.0i? Are there any simple (safe) mods to maximize the performance of my 3.0i (N52)? Since most of my friends are pretty jealous, I will have to lean on you guys to get my fix talking about Z4s!! :D

I have a very close version of your car. Mine has Dream Leather and Silver. Looks identical from the outside. All I have done is the 5" stubby. Just love the car...

Mine has a 6 speed manual.

Ahh, you have the sweet red interior!! I really like that.. Do you have the Carver/Logic 7 Sound System?? If so, where the hell is the amp?
 
the amp is usually near the battery on the carver system, unless they moved it for either the facelift or the US version>?
 
No clue where the AMP is located. There is a box to the left of the battery, not sure what is does, it could possibly be an AMP, maybe . . . who knows...

I am not quite sure what that small box is? Some have stated that the amp was moved post facelift... Just curious as to where..

I am sure i read on zpost that the "si" has different cams and a different engine tune, which gives its extra power.

However the N52 3.0i Z4 was not an option in the UK.
 
Got my satin exhaust tips and new wheel emblems.. Both are OEM parts... Looking good.. I may post some pics this weekend.. The wheel emblems are the new design and look a little bigger.. Not a huge difference, but a much cleaner look.. I am going to hold off on any other additions and just enjoy this white beauty for a while.. :driving:
