Hey guys,

Picked up my new pride and joy on Thursday night, and it looks like I timed it just right with the weather this weekend!

It's a 2006 3.0si Roadster in (midnight?) blue with caramel leather memory seats, Xenons and 6CD changer, which I think qualifies it as non-'flimper' spec?

Today was the first time I had a proper chance to drive it, and it's filthy already! I'll clean it tomorrow, promise!

Already got a few mods lined up, I'd like to install an iPod dock/cable and maybe add cruise control

Mmmmmm :? that's 2 blue with caramel Si roadies changed hands in under 5 days ? Rare spec cars & especially so with style 224 alloys , was the seller a enthusiast or forum member ?
Welcome btw , great cars , great forum

Thanks mr wilks
Yes, I had my eye on the other one, but I couldn't really afford it! And then this one popped up on AutoTrader... 104,000 miles, but I got it for a very reasonable price, so I still have some pennies left over to tinker with it

Previous owner only had it for a year and I don't think he was a member, but he said the chap before that might have been. Private plate has stayed with the car, so perhaps someone will recognise it?

Looks like a stunner. How much out of interest?

Personally I don't like that colour of leather. Would of preferred darker, wonder if can be made darker with oil or no chance because they are sealed?

:o if you ever get close to this combo id be amazed if you didn't swoon over it , its a class combo & rare with it . OP has a nice car there & 104k is nothing if all well in the service & upkeep department

That's a stunning zed with a rare colour combo as previously mentioned, just in time to enjoy the improving weather  :driving:

I wasn't sure about the leather at first, but now I love it. Works perfectly with the blue. The leather's looking a little tired and needs a bit of a clean and some TLC though.

I paid 6750 for her. Service history is okay... I'll be booking it into Cotswold BMW for an Inspection 2 soon unless anyone knows any good indys nr. Cheltenham?

Show us some more of the leather and interior. I prefer dark brown to tan need to see some more to really make my mind up. Just my preference. If you love it that is all that matters.

My dad had tan leather in his red supra. I dunno just not my thing.

Thanks for the link. That gloss black trim is nice and shiny.

However i feel with that tan leather the wood trim may look better but i know how people hate that on here.

I prefer a darker brown myself not feeling the tan.

I'm thinking of getting my exterior and interior wrapped in the future. Always glad to see what others have.

Thats a nice combo! Enjoy! Is it really worth taking a £7k motor to a BMW dealer for a service though?

You usually find the dealer isn't much difference in price from a Indy. I used to get my dealer to price match my lowest quote which they usually did.

Hmm - Not for my Inspection 2 Kermit . . . .

Be worth the OP checking out the relative costs as it could save him hundreds - which it did me.

Welcome to the forum, stunning 3.0si roady you've bagged yourself there - nice colour combo and I'm liking the 224 alloys. Well done

Thanks for the comments guys! Couldn't have picked a better weekend to buy the car... :driving:

I'll do some research and find a good indy near me for the service and do some ringing around tomorrow

Surprised at that, must try harder lol. I had a inspection 2 carried out on my old e86 before I sold it BMW matched the price I got from Indy near Glasgow.

The thing is indy's don't use OEM parts. They will use the cheapest part to get the job done whereas BMW have to use OEM parts at least you know they will not use no name oil, etc.

I find it's best to get everything done service wise from a main dealer with a bit of haggling and provide all of your own fluids. That way you get a cheap price and you get an official stamp and you know the work has been carried out properly. Unless you have a brilliant indy near you that you trust and have a good relationship with.

That's the problem these days finding a good trustworthy local mechanic.
