Proud father ! Son lands his first "proper" car

He may be trying to follow my lead but since my son passed his test 3 years ago he's had 2 VW Lupo's, 2 VW Polo's & 1 Corsa Sri (with straight through pipe which has caused a no way back feud with 2 sets of neighbours :roll: )
anyhow today he's joined the big boys , at 21 yrs old he's landed the perennial favourite :) A Golf Gti :driving: but not just any old model 8)
Its a 25th Anniversary model with uprated turbo & lots of other tasty bits as standard like BBs 18,s , full bodykit & recaro front & rear seats :happyclap: finally a car i may want to borrow :P
Looking forward to getting home next weekend & taking a look . For now im stuck with what i can find online / found this , no relation to my son or our own Machinemonkey i hope

Cheers Darren , apparently it also has a Milltek exhaust fitted & is remapped :evil: hope there's some decent rubber on all 4 corners or this could end in tears :cry:
 
I used to have the 25th anniversary golf too.

Has the bodykit and different recarro seats :thumbsup:

Although i changed it to have the R32 look :headbang:

Thanks for the comments fellas , he's obviously well chuffed with it & has been emailing & texting me all week as the anticipation grew .
We all know the feeling of getting a car that really makes you tingle when you get the keys :)
bet he's up now washing it :D

Tried my best this time to steer him onto the E46 compact .not exactly thrilling but 03/04's around £2/£2.5k they would have been a good intro for him but he stuck to his guns :wink:
He's paying £1400 for insurance though on the golf :o which is £400 more than quote on compact , he's happy to spend his hard earned on motoring so while he can let him enjoy it :driving:
