Protecting the front bumper

I keep scraping the bottom of my front bumper on curbs, when I park. What do people use to protect the bumper from scrapes?

Stop before the bumper hits the kerb.
The Z4 is not such a big car that you need every millimetre of space. Stop short of the end of the bay and you'll still be fine at the rear.

Many thanks for all the wise advice. Just as when you repeatedly hit your head against a brick wall, I had realised that the pain only ceases when you stop doing it!

My issue is really that I scrape the bottom of the bumper when going slowly over even small bumps, like sleeping policemen; it is that low to the ground. You could argue that policemen shouldn't sleep on the job but that doesn't prevent damage to my bumper. I was wondering whether anyone protects the bottom edge in any way???

ah, your original post said scraping on curbs when parking. The only way i found to stop that was to park backwards (had to do the same on my E90 as well).

As for scrapping on speed bumps that is a little more difficult (i am sure many of us have the same issue). However all i can say is take it slow and if you can move to the middle of the road and go over the highest point of both ramps (one wheel on each), so the underside is at the lowest point of the bump. If you cant do that then just go over the bump with one wheel, really slowly.

I have a rubber front lip spoiler which I purchased from Aliexpress. Not expensive and doesn't look too noticeable and it definitely acts as a buffer
