Hi All,

Have learnt so much from this forum - it's fantastic - so finally joined. :)

I've seen most of the posts on here regarding the dreaded roof motor problem on the E85 / E86, and now have to get mine done - again. Done by BMW under warranty in the summer of 2011 (Mini convertable as a courtesy car! :| ) and now looking to use an independent.

I saw ProTech Cars in Aylesbury on PistonHeads, and wonder if anyone has had any work done from them.

Oh, yeah, my Zed is a E85 3.0i SE, elec. folding mirrors (love those), reversing sensors (how did I ever cope without?), stuck to the run-flats (Hankooks - brill!), aux cable added to BMW Business stereo..... Pretty standard, but I love it!

I already envy your folded mirrors - I fold mine manually about five times a day, which makes me look like a local idiot...

I don't know about ProTech?

But Mark Purcell in Oxford is a brilliant guy and very good at his job. Not a million miles away from you and they have great reviews.

I can recommend Jason too. He's done servicing and work for me and I'm very happy. He's ex BMW so has a lot of knowledge and has free courtesy cars too. I will keep using him.
 
I can fully recommend Jason at protech cars, mine or any family bmws would not go anywhere else now due to the high quality work and good service

Is one of the few garages you can trust your car with

You'll have an additional button on the mirror controls next to the side selection switch. They don't fold automatically and can't be made to do so.
