The OP should definitely not buy PeeblesZ4 car..

Your best bet is to buy a very late car (post 2015) or a very low mileage earlier one, most people don’t cover huge mileage in these cars

This is moreorless what I'm thinking, but there's not much choice post 2015 within budget, so looking for lower miles, or one with higher that's had the timing chain done.

I like the switched speed limiter and especially with head up display tho - I use that a lot in an unfamiliar area I wish my z had it.

Petrolheads won’t want limiters, but it’s very hard to argue against them if it’s proved they increase safety :?
Most z4’s are limited already but not to such a low level.

A firm press in the RH pedal overrides it - I’m told the mandatory system will be the same

The switched system doesn’t prevent speed increases on a downhill slope so it’s not a perfect point protector!

Any decent software company will be able to delete any limiter from the ECU, they already do it today on the 155mph limit placed on current cars

I’m sure they will - but get caught speeding when a limiter was supposed to work???
